Password protect polls

There are times when you will want to password protect your content to ensure only your target audience gets the chance to vote on your poll.

To set password protection for a poll, do the following.

First, hover over the title of your poll and click on Edit:

Next, scroll down to the bottom of the editing screen to Restrictions, on the lower right-hand side of the screen.

Click on the Password protection checkbox, to reveal a textbox. Enter your password into the textbox and click on the big blue Update Poll button:

You’ll need to be sure to share the password with your voters so that they can access the poll.

When voters visit a password-protected poll on Polldaddy.com, they’ll be asked to enter the password to proceed to the poll:

When voters vist a password-protected javascript poll, the voter will be asked to enter the password after they submit a vote. The vote will not be registered unless the voter enters the correct password.
