The new custom tags feature will allow you append as many tags to the survey url as you like. This means you can add an identifier, perhaps unique to you, like an email address, customer id, department etc. Then when the survey is filled out, the identifier will be associated with this response and will be visible in the survey reports. These tags will then make it possible to filter the responses specific to you.
Here is an example of a typical survey link…

If I had a survey recipient that I wanted to identify or tag with the following…
email – johnny@bravo.com
dept – hr
I would append the tags to the survey link in the query string.. like so…
http://surveys.polldaddy.com/s/HE12EE2348B/?email=johnny@bravo.com&dept=hr
When the recipient of this link follows the link to the survey and fills in a response the tags for email and dept will be associated with their response.When reviewing the responses in the respondents report, you will be able to see the tags added to the response.
Also, when you export the responses, the tags for each response will be included. The tag name must be at least 3 characters long. The following tag names however are taken and will be ignored if you use them…
